Terms of Use

The short version: you buy LidShutter once and use it on the Macs your license covers. Don’t share your key or copy the app. You can get your money back within 7 days.

Your license

When you buy LidShutter you get a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on the number of Macs your key covers (one Mac, or the number in the pack you bought). It is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. Updates to LidShutter are included.

You can move your license to a new Mac. In LidShutter, open License and choose Deactivate this Mac, then use the same key on the new Mac.

What you can’t do

• Share your license key with other people, or post it publicly.
• Copy, resell or redistribute the app.
• Get around or tamper with the license check, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

If a key is shared or abused, we may switch it off.

Buying, payments and refunds

Payments and license keys are handled by Polar, who act as the seller and process your payment. Prices are in US dollars. You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of buying: see the refund policy. A refunded license stops working.

Updates and changes

LidShutter checks for new versions about once a day. We may change or improve the app over time, and we may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

No guarantees

We work hard to make LidShutter reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without promises that it will work on every Mac or be free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or accidental losses from using it, and our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
